The Priorat Vi de Pageses I Pagesos from Vall Llach winery is a traditional blend of 90% Carignan and 10% Grenache.
Previously, this wine was known as 'idus'
Fermentation of the destemmed grapes takes place in 300-liter and 500-liter barrels. Fermentation at a controlled temperature between 20º and 25º C for 17 days with daily punching and gentle pump-overs.Post-fermentative maceration for 12 days followed by gentle pressing.
The Cariñena goes to 300-liter barrels of new French oak with light and medium toasting of fine grain and second-year foudre. And the Garnacha in 2000L foudres, new and 2nd year. Racking takes place during the 12-month aging.

The Priorat Vi de Pageses I Pagesos 2022 shows a violet color with purple rim.
In the full nose aromas's of plums, cherries and chocolate with notes of toasted wood and spices.
On the palate, medium+ body with medium(+) ripe tannins. Nicely fruity with red and black fruits, chocolate, vanilla and a nice and warm long finish.
