The Coloma Vernet Garnacha 2021 from winery Terra del Priorat is a red wine made from 80-year-old Garnatxa Peluda (Hairy Grenache).
The wine has no filtration to preserve the purity and character of the grape. The youthfulness of the Garnacha is rounded out by barrel aging. The wine has no added sulfites.
The Coloma Vernet single-varietal wines are not altered by coupage, they are primary, unique, natural, as the vineyard gave the grapes. The slate of Priorat enhances the ferrous and mineral character of these wines.
The Garnacha has floral aromas and ripe fruit on the nose that turn into forest fruit compote and sweet tannin on the palate as its character is expressed. The wine is aged for 12 months in French barriques.

In the expressive nose notes of ripe fruit, sour cherry and berry fruit with hints of vanilla, mocha and cedar.
On the palate dry, with medium(+) acidity and medium(+) ripe tannins and a nice long and intense finish.

Stews and goulash, game meats, spicy dishes, grilled vegetables and cheese plates.
