Terra del Priorat is a young family project led by Pepe Beltran and Dolors Sendra, where we give continuity and life to a tradition of more than 6 generations in the Priorat. Its history goes back to 1800 where the first stone was laid of what is now the family hotel El Palauet del Priorat, founded in 2016, run by Dolors Sendra as the sixth heiress of the estate.
Pepe Beltrán decided to reverse his business life as a wine merchant and return to his Valencian family's agricultural tradition, taking the reins of restoring and operating the family fields that were abandoned in 1976 due to the depreciation of crops on the market. He is currently making wines in partnership with another winery while building what will be his personal project in Priorat 2023-24 where he will give life and transformation to the grapes harvested from his 4.5 hectares in Montsant, where there are vines up to 65 years old and new plantings of red grapes Garnacha, Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon and white grapes of the varieties Cariñena Blanca, Viognier and Chenin Blanc. Also a new plantation of 8 hectares in the Priorat in traditional method of Terra and liquor soils.
Terra del Priorat is a company of balance where work and family must be in perfect harmony. They cannot produce great wine if their personal and family environment are not in balance. Everything in life is a mix, it's just a matter of proportions!!!
