This Terroir Históric blanc 2022 from winery Terroir Al Limit is a traditional blend of 75% Grenache Blanc and 25% Macabeo. The bunches are put whole into cement vats, which are sealed. After this, the natural yeasts must do their work. This is an unusual vinification for white wine, resulting in a slightly oxidative wine. After fermentation, the wine is pressed and finally stays on cement for another 6 months. Storage potential 5 years.
The grapes for this wine come from nine different villages namely Bellmunt, Gratallops, El Lloar, Escaladei, Poboleda, Porrera, Torroja, Vilella Alta and Vilella Baixa. Terroir Històric encourages young farmers not only to return to the vineyards in the 9 villages in and around Torroja, but also to convert these family vineyards to organic farming.
