This Terra de Cuques blanc 2022 from winery Terroir Al Limit is a blend of 60% Grenache Blanc and 40% Pedro Ximenez sourced from more than 25-year-old slate/clay vines from La Morera del Montsant. The grapes for this white Priorat wine are hand harvested, fermented in whole bunches for 5 days in inox and cement tanks and then aged in cement for 6 months.
The traditional combination of extraction, oxidation and maceration encourages lean and structured layers - almost more red in style than white - to emerge on the palate and convey the unmistakable voice of the plots. From an initially rich, fino-like character emerges a wine of tension and freshness with tangy citrus layers of white currant, mirabel and spring flowers. A unique expression that embodies the full finesse and depth of the region.
This blend has a storage potential of 10+ years and the 2021 vintage received 93+ Robert Parker points.

Robert Parker wrote about this white blend.
It is serious, with good freshness, a little reductive at first but then more expressive with abundant notes of pollen and a honey note, with a little skin contact giving it character and some notes of quince and fine tannins. There is finesse and elegance and it is very pure. They have food in mind when they make the wines, so there is a constant search for freshness. White wines are in high demand and they sell everything, but white vineyard plantings are limited. In June 2022, 8,008 bottles were filled.
