This Terroir Históric Negre 2021 from winery Terroir Al Limit is a blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Cariñena sourced from 9 different villages in the namely: Bellmunt, Gratallops, El Lloar, Escaladei, Poboleda, Porrera, Torroja, Vilella Alta, Vilella Baixa.
Terroir Històric encourages young farmers not only to return to family vineyards in the 9 villages of the region in and around Torroja, but also to switch these family vineyards to organic farming. Harnessing the simple, honest power of great fruit means a truly hands off approach in the cellar: manual harvest, whole cluster natural fermentation and transfer to inox tank for six months. No extraction, no oak.
The Terroir Históric Negre 2021 shows a transparent garnet red wine
. In the beautiful nose aromas's of cherry, blueberry and blackberry with hints of bay leaf, licorice, light smoky garrigue and some earthy.
Medium powerful red wine with fine-grained tannins and lots of tension.... Wine at its simplest but very beautiful, refined and elegant.

This Terroir Históric Negre 2021 from winery Terroir Al Limit scored 93 points with this vintage from Robert Parker. Despite being quite light, this wine can easily age for 10 years.
Unlike the site-specific wines of Terroir al Límit, Terroir Històric is dedicated to expressing the complex character of the entire Priorat in two colors: white and red. While the project launched in 2015 is a remarkable breeding ground for new plantings on the clay and schist soils of Montsant, it is also a fluid tribute, drawing on the négocient tradition of the past to secure a sustainable future.

The 2021 Terroir Históric red has moderate ripeness and 13.5% alcohol from a slightly cooler year that resulted in a tighter wine that is a bit closed. It was bottled slightly earlier with good freshness, more vertical and a bit restrained but with balance. It has purity and is clean, with fine tannins. He aged exclusively in stainless steel (concrete was used earlier). It has a medium body, is fresh and easy to drink. 30,000 bottles were made.
