The Coloma Vernet Carinena 2021 from winery Terra del Priorat is a monocépage of 100% Carinena.
The wine has no filtration to preserve the purity and character of the grape. The youthfulness of the Cariñena is rounded out by barrel aging. The wines have no added sulfites.
The Coloma Vernet single-varietal wines are not altered by coupage, they are primary, unique, natural, as the vineyard gave the grapes. The slate of Priorat enhances the ferrous and mineral character of these wines.
The Cariñena is earthy, showing its mineral and earthy side in the nose and evolving into fresh notes that are quietly expressed in the glass. The wine is aged for 12 months in French barriques.

In the nose beautiful aromas of raspberries, cranberries and blackcurrants with hints of cedar, licorice and earthy notes.
On the palate dry, full-bodied with medium acidity and a nice long finish.

Smoked meats, BBQ, chicken, turkey, pork, lamb, beef, veal, medium cheeses, aged Gouda, parmesan and manchego.
