White wines from Priorat - Terra Vermella de Nin 2017

Terra Vermella de Nin 2017

Familia Nin Ortiz

DruivenParellada Montonega

Terra Vermella 2017 comes from a one-hectare vineyard planted in a clay-limestone soil in which the mixture of red clay and stones gives it a very peculiar color. Hence the name of the wine Terra Vermella, which means red earth in Catalan. Biodynamic farming is practiced with herbal teas made from plant extracts and mineral sulfur, taking into account the lunar phases in each process.

In the winery, the Parellada Montonega - grapes are gently pressed and the obtained must ferments with its own yeasts in used 225 liter barrels. There it stays for 8 months with its fine lees. The pumping over is done manually to avoid the use of mechanical pumps.
