Robert Parker Wine Advocate has already awarded this grandiose red wine a magical 100/100 points twice. After the 2017 vintage already received 98/100 points from Robert Parker Wine Advocate, this 2018 vintage even received 99/100 points.
This 2018 Clos Erasmus shows a dense purple color with violet reflections and a black core.
In the nose aromas of black cherries, plums, blueberries, blood orange and cassis with hints of nuts, fine spices, smoke, vanilla and violets complete the nasal artwork.
On the palate, the wine is elegant, juicy and powerful. Superfine tannins caress the palate. The structure, density and length are superb. It radiates its charm in the lingering finish, where it still shows pleasant roasted notes.
