This Usatges Blanc 2021 blend from the winery Clos de L'Obac (Costers del Siurana) is made from the proportion of grapes not needed to make the top white wine Kyrie. An ageing of about 6 months on stainless steel follows. The blend consists of 60% Macabeu, 20% Xarel.lo, 15% Moscatel de Alejandria and 5% White Grenache.
In the glass a white citrus colour.
In the medium nose, aromas of white peach, apple, pear and flowers with hints of green herbs, orange peel and pâtisserie.
In the mouth medium(+) body with medium acids and slightly fat mouthfeel. Lightly anointed with flavours of white fruit and a medium(+) long finish. Can still be aged for years to come to experience the potential of this wine.
A small white gem from the Priorat, where white production is very low.
Limited production of 1200 bottles.
