This 2013 Costers de Pobleda is a blend of 95% Cariñena and 5% Syrah.
In 2020, Mas Igneus launched a first limited edition of 2020 bottles of Costers de Poboleda. It was the first of 6 wines from the transformation of Igneus to Mas Igneus Priorat.
At the time, Ornella and Jerôme wrote on the back label, "I am happy to share this small project that launches Mas Igneus Priorat with all my friends, family and lovers of the wine world. Costers de Poboleda is a wine that comes 100% from Finca de Salancas vineyards . Located at approximately 430 to 560 meters above sea level. Made with 95% Cariñena and 5% Syrah. Aged for 18 months in 90% French oak barrels and 10% American oak barrels.
The land consisting of gray and reddish slate, called llicorella in this area, and with vines about 22 years old, give this wine special characteristics that make it unique among Priorat wines.
In the glass a deep dark chestnut color with lilac and burgundy hues.
In the medium(++) complex nose we find leather, licorice, clove, flowers and lots of ripe black and red fruits. Very broad aromatic range of tertiary.
On the palate a full, balanced, inviting palate that is supple and juicy yet full and complex. Lots of detail, character and complexity and there is no sign of alcohol heat.
Expression of the minerality of the terroir via the retro-nasal route with hints of damp earth and brushwood. Friendly tannins expressed in its perfect balance with the fruit.

Coster de Poboleda is a limited edition, representing the maximum expression of the Priorat variety. It merges the past of the winery with the present and the future.
