The La Mestressa Barrica Francesa 2020 from winery Terra del Priorat is a monocépage wine made from Garnatxa nergra. A tribute to all the ladies at home where temperament, patience and intensity are expressed in this aged wine. Made from 100% Garnacha in the style of the Carthusian monks, like 1,000 years ago.
A full-bodied style of Garnacha - nice to compare with the La Mestressa Barrica Americana.
Each bottle is individually wrapped in translucent black lace fabric with a nod to the mother who was an artisan tailor. You can also see this on the labels of the bottles.
The wine matures for 24 months in French (Allier) oak barrels.
