This new wine called Garbinada 2023 (fresh wind) from winery Sangenis I Vaque is a traditional blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Carignan and shows a fresh style but with all the structure that Priorat is known for. This red blend has no wood aging and is vinified in old underground wine presses “Lagares” which are covered with ceramic tiles. Guia Penin gave this wine a 91/100 score. Press Wine gave 16/20.

This wine has a deep dark purple color. In the nose aromas's of cherries and red berries with earthy notes and fine spiciness.
The palate is rich, with higher acidity and medium+ tannins. Medium-bodied, complex and fresh dry with aromas of black fruit, chocolate, pepper and a fine spicy finish.

This new wine in the range of winery Sangenis I Vaque from Porrera (Piorat) is a lighter style Priorat than you are normally used to. This is also to attract the younger audience who are not going to try full-bodied wines right away. Also less alcohol than normal in the Priorat.
