The Crossos Priorat 2022 from the Clos Galena winery is a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Cariñena and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation and maceration take place separately, in stainless steel tanks. Then a soft pressing is carried out in the vertical press, before returning to the tank, where the malolactic fermentation takes place. The blending of the different grape varieties takes place before the wine is transferred to the barrels. The wine then matures for 6 months in French oak barrels (80%) and American (20%).
The Crossos Priorat shows a cherry red colour with high intensity.
Very open aroma where the balsamic and red and black fruits stand out, all accompanied by notes of thyme, orange peel and spices.
In the mouth it is intense and fat, very balanced, where the fruit and freshness are pleasantly expressed.
Perfect with:
Rice and pasta, poultry, white meat, red meat, game, sausages, cold cuts, meat stews, eggs, pâtés, foie gras, blue fish, mature cheeses, vegetables and leafy greens.
