The Formiga de Vellut 2021 from the Clos Galena winery is a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Cariñena and 20% Syrah.
Manual selection of organic grapes. Fermentation of each grape variety separately, at 22º C for 7 days. Maceration is carried out at 28º C and the paste is separated from the wine by gently pressing the pulp. Finally, the wines are assembled from a single grape variety before being put into the barrels.
The Formiga de Vellut 2021 shows a cherry red color with high intensity.
The wine shows complex aromas in which red and black fruits stand out, combined with balsamic and spicy notes. In the mouth it is a full and powerful wine, with a fleshy and velvety finish, where ripe and fresh tannins are present.
