This Vespres Negre 2023 from Josep Grau is a blend of Grenache, Cariñena, and Syrah from 50/70-year-old vines. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks, and half of the aging occurs in concrete tanks and the other half in 2,500-liter foudres. The Vespres Negre 2023 is juicy, spicy, and fresh—with a velvety texture and remarkable drinkability.
Over the years, it has received excellent reviews. Perhaps the most notable was in 2013, when Vespres 2010 appeared in the prestigious American magazine Wine&Spirits (100 best wines in the world) and was named the best wine in terms of value for money out of the 100 selected wines on the American market, with 94 points.
