This L'Escarpat 2018 from winery Clos de L'Obacis certainly a benchmark within the Priorat. It is a white wine produced over several years from a very specific vineyard in the hills of Torroja del Priorat. L'Escarpat is made from Xarel.lo and Macabeu, aged in French new oak barrels for 6 months and then it begins a maturation period in bottle of 3 years. Total number of bottles per year 601. Bottles are packaged individually in wooden case.
In the glass a golden yellow color.
A very nice and full nose with pear, honey, white blossom, wax, dried apricot, smoke and earth.
In the mouth dry, medium (++) bodied with medium acidity and wellïntegrated alcohol. A distinct flavor intensity with notes of acacia flower, mango, pineapple, butter, vanilla, anise and lemon and a nicely balanced and long finish.

Hard cheeses, oily fish, seafood, poultry, pork.
